Peter Wynne fundraising for Irish Heart Foundation in Arctic Challenge for the Irish Heart Foundation 2027

I'm taking part in an Arctic Challenge, March 2027, to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and I’d love your support to help protect hearts in Ireland. ❤️

Many people and families in Ireland have been touched by heart disease and stroke, including myself and people close to me, which is why this campaign means so much to me.

The Irish Heart Foundation’s mission is to eliminate preventable death and disability from heart disease and stroke and to support and care for those living with these life-changing conditions.

If you are able to contribute, your donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference to people and families affected by heart disease and stroke and I'll be incredibly grateful. And if you can't donate, sharing this page with others would mean just as much to me.

Thank you for your kindness and support.

About Arctic Challenge for the Irish Heart Foundation 2027

We are taking 14 participants on this epic challenge to raise funds and awareness of the impacts of stroke and heart disease.

Following a stroke or heart event some people’s worlds are turned upside down when their abilities completely change, reshaping how they live in the world. They are forced to learn to manage their body’s new energy and capabilities in daily life and reimagine their lives going forward.

This challenge will be about learning new skills in a tough environment and carrying on even when it’s hard, because that’s what those living with the effects of a stroke or heart condition must do every day.

About Irish Heart Foundation

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of death in both men and women. The tragic reality is – around 16 people will have a heart attack today. Just today, and every other day. And on each of those days, 20 others will have a stroke. These are extraordinary and stark facts. But the equally remarkable – and hopeful – reality is: 80% of early heart disease and stroke cases are preventable. That’s why the Irish Heart Foundation has been here for 60 years. Here to lead the charge to protect the cardiovascular health of everyone in Ireland. Here, to eliminate preventable death or disability. Here to collaborate. Here, not just as one of Ireland’s most trusted and effective charities, but to build a lifesaving movement across the country. We are here regardless of age, background or means. Here for every community, every school, and every workplace. Here for every heartbeat.
