How much sponsorship do I need to raise?

You need to raise a minimum of €350 to take part in the event and become a Heart Hero!

What happens if I can’t raise the full amount?

Who are the abseil operators?

The abseil is being operated by Big Bang Productions. Their expert team will be there on the day managing and controlling the abseil.

Do I need any experience/practice?

There is no need to worry about practicing and no prior experience is required. You will be fitted with all the equipment you need and given full instructions by a member of the Big Bang Productions Team.

However, please be sure that you are fit and able for climbing the tower stairs and then descending by abseil on the day.

If any of the following apply, you must seek medical advice before participating and must sign a non-standard waiver:

Yes. They will not be able to go to the top of the tower, however; they are more than welcome to come along, watch you abseil down the tower and celebrate with you at the bottom.

Can I abseil in fancy dress?

Yes, and while we welcome anyone who wants to do the abseil in fancy dress, please do not wear bulky costumes as they could interfere with the harness or helmet. If our instructors deem your costume unsafe, they will ask you to remove it before you can take part.

When do I get my cape?

You will receive your cape when you sign in on the day of the event.
